In a phone call from the Capitol immediately after the State of the Union address last night, President Obama informs John Buchanan that his daughter Jessica, a kidnapped aid worker, was rescued by U.S. Special Operations Forces in Somalia earlier that evening.

I’ve decided my dream job is to be the person that gets to wrap up this phone call.  Like “Yes, the President is wonderful, isn’t he? I’m sure that Seal Team Six knows just how much it means to you that they saved your daughter.  No, I don’t think you’re allowed to send rawhides for the titanium-toothed dog, but I’m sure they’d love it.  Ok, so we’ll be dropping your daughter off on Sunday at 6, does that work for you?”
